World Lion Day with the CNB Visitor Centre!

Although it may seem that a zoo and  a central bank – the realm of animals and the world of finance – have little in common, the opposite is true. Animals play an important role not only in banking jargon but also on coins and banknotes. For example, the lion – the king of animals – appears not only in the national emblem but also on Czech coins and banknotes. And have you heard of the Lightbearer with a lion? They are the patrons of the Czech National Bank, and their sculpture adorns the building of its building in Prague.

So come and celebrate World Lion Day with the CNB Visitor Centre on August 10!

At the Archa Theatre area, the Visitor Centre will offer a rich program that will guide you through the world of finance and animals.
