The CNB’s special library boasts a unique collection of Czech and foreign literature. It covers social sciences (economics, banking and law), some natural sciences (mathematics) and technical sciences (information technology).
The collection, which dates back to the First Czechoslovak Republic, contains many publications and journals made available by the CNB library to the public. It is the only library of its kind in the Czech Republic. It also provides access to specialised electronic databases.
You can study more than 80,000 volumes of publications and 700 periodical titles. They can be borrowed for use on the premises or checked out.

Borrowing services – on-the-premises and home borrowing
Only books published in the Czech Republic that are not needed for the day-to-day operation of the library can be borrowed outside the study room. The borrowing period is one month. Other sources of information can be accessed in the study room only. There is a self-service photocopying facility available to visitors. Users must comply with the valid Library Rules.
