Prague Museum Night at the Visitor Centre

Prague Museum Night at the Visitor Centre

Enjoy our exhibitions in a unique setting! On 15 June, we will be open beyond our regular opening hours as part of Prague Museum Night, offering a special programme from 6.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m.

You can look forward to tours of the interactive Exploring the Currency exhibition, presenting the current roles of the central bank and the popular People and Money exhibition in the original strongroom, focusing on the history of money and central banking.

For those of you who enjoy creative activities, we've prepared a workshop where you can learn about the world of banknotes in an unusual way through your own creations. You will be able to design your own original money and practise your knowledge of the security features on our currency.

Art lovers and visitors curious to discover interesting facts from the world of culture can join a guided tour of Oldřich Kulhánek's World of Banknotes exhibition, subtitled All the things that didn't make it into the exhibition..., as the highlight of  the evening. Graphic artist Oldřich Kulhánek is known mainly as the author of our banknotes, but his artistic work extends far beyond banknote designs. During a special tour, the exhibition's curator Jakub Kunert will speak about selected aspects of Kulhánek's work that could not be displayed at the exhibition due to space constraints.

So don't forget – we look forward to your visit on Saturday, 15 June, during the regular opening hours of the Visitor Centre in Prague and during Prague Museum Night (from 10.00 a.m. to 11.00 p.m.). The last entry is at 10.30 p.m.
